- Here's an apple crisp recipe that is very easy, very good, and does not
- use oatmeal as the topping. Amounts are approximate:
-
-
- 6 apples
- 1/2 c. whole wheat flour
- 1/2 c. brown sugar
- 2 t. ground cinnamon
- 1/2 t. ground nutmeg
- 1/4 c. butter
-
- Wash, core, and slice apples. Arrange in baking dish. Mix together flour,
- sugar, and spices. Cut in butter until mixture is crumbly. Sprinkle flour
- mixture on top of apples. Cover and bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes or
- until apples are tender. Uncover and bake for an additional 10 minutes.
- Serve warm with ice cream or whipped cream.
